I earned my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education and a minor in Middle School/Jr. High Mathematics and Language Arts from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, MO in 1993.  I earned my Masters of Arts in Teaching in 2002 from Webster University.  In March of 2010, I started working on another Masters Degree.

I began my teaching career in the fall of 1994 teaching 5^th grade at Strasburg School.  The following school year, I taught 5^th -8^th grade.  After two years in Strasburg, I took a teaching position at Daniel Young Elementary in the Blue Springs School District and taught 4^th grade for eleven years.  Then, in the fall of 2007, I moved to Thomas Ultican Elementary.  During my first two years at TUE, I taught 3^rd grade.  Finally, I was moved to 2^nd grade and am currently teaching that grade level. 

I love to spend time with my family and friends.  I have lived in Blue Springs most of my life.  As a child, I even attended Thomas Ultican for kindergarten through 6^th grade.  In my free time I enjoy playing soccer, reading, and playing games.  I have two hamsters named Hercules and Checkers.
