My name is Allison Donahay, and I am excited to be back teaching English for a second year at Blue Springs High School. I am a native of St. Louis, Missouri, where almost all of my family still lives. I attended college at Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in English and a minor in French. I also recently finished my Master's degree in education through Truman State University. I have truly enjoyed my time here in Blue Springs, and I am looking forward to another great year! Materials for English III and IV: notebook, writing utensil, folder, flash drive (optional)
All students will participate in independent reading as a part of their English coursework. Reading is one of the most important skills for success in high school, college, and beyond. We will begin our reading program on Monday August 26, so students should have a book chosen from the classroom library, school library, or from home by this date.
