My Background

This is my 10^th year of teaching. I graduated in May of 2002 from Central Missouri State University, Cum Laude, with a Bachelor of Science in Education Special Education/Elementary. I recently completed a Masters of Education Degree from Lesley University, May 2010.

I began my teaching career with the Blue Springs School District in August 2002, at Special Service Center teaching in an Early Childhood Special Education classroom. As the ECSE program outgrew that building I moved my ECSE classroom, along with another ECSE teacher, to Sunny Pointe Elementary in 2003. In 2006, with the completion of our current building, the ECSE program was united under our current name, “Liggett Trail Education Center.”

I did receive the honor of being elected “Blue Springs Teacher of the Year” for Liggett Trail Education Center, by my peers in 2008.
