Increase Safety

First we must improve the safety in our schools. This is a concept no one could have forseen but has become necessary in the society in which we live today. Updates to facilities and to security systems will assure we continue to provide a safe and effective learning environment for all students.

Improve Facilities
Second, we are faced with the need to improve our current facilities. From the elementary to the high school we are in need of updates and improvements to classrooms and structures to provide the best and most efficient learning environments.

| Address Growth |
Third, we must address the growth in our district that is bringing more students to our schools. Through additional classroom space we can meet the current demands and accommodate those that will be educated in on our schools over the coming decade.

Blue Springs School District
A record 89% of voters voiced their approval of the Blue Springs School District 2009 bond issue. On February 3, 2009 members of the Blue Springs School District family came together to pass the $86.5 million dollar bond issue. The funds will help increase safety, improve facilities and address the growth in our district. This is an exciting time to be a part of the Blue Springs School District. Bids for the 14 projects approved by voters will be coming in over the next few weeks and work has already begun at some locations. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our parents, patrons, community members, students and staff for your support. As we get new pictures of the progress on the bond projects we will post them using the links on the left.
