The Office of Information and Public Relations' goal is to support our students and our schools through positive communication. Website Management
The Blue Springs School District Website serves as a primary source of information about our schools and academic achievements as well as a notification hub for news, events and emergencies as they occur. The office of Information and Public Relations maintains primary pages with the schools responsible for their individual news and updates. The District provides training and a manual for all schools. Please contact the Office of Information and Public Relations for more information.
Communication Notification System
SchoolReach is the District's automated messaging system used to contact parents and guardians regarding late starts, early dismissals, and school cancellations. Other purposes include attendance, activity reminders and other regular notification messages.
Please use the following guidelines when receiving calls from SchoolReach:
- Say "hello;" then, wait three seconds after speaking to allow the automation to activate
- A large amount of background noise is often interpreted as speaking and the call will not activate
- District Calls appear in the caller-ID box as (816)224-1307
- If the call is missed, a return call to the number will reach the district's CatLine to preview the existing message.
The District provides a basic training manual (1.83 MB, pdf file) and offers site training to use the system. Please notify the Office of Information and Public Relations for assistance at 224-1300.
