| About Our Curriculum |
| |
|
The Blue Springs School District has a rich tradition of academic excellence. Today this tradition continues with major advancements in our curriculum and also our efforts through technology to place materials in student hands wherever they might be.
We are extremely proud of our staff. It is one of the most experienced and well prepared in the area. More than 70% of our certified staff hold a master's degree or above. Our students are instructed by teachers and administrators who hold leadership positions in regional and state professional organizations. Approximately 68% of our teachers are tenured and 64% of our building administrators have more than seven years in the district. Teacher turnover is low, approximately 11%. Teachers fresh out of college are also hired each year; our school district makes every effort to recruit the best teachers available. Our teachers are represented by professional organizations. Many of our secretaries also belong to a professional organization. Relationships with these groups have been quite good and continue to be strong because we all work together for the success of our students.
