Merry Christmas to each of you!
It is hard to believe that the winter break is here and January 2012 is just around the corner! The school year has flown by in a good way.
Following the Thanksgiving break, the students read the story Gingerbread Baby by Jan Brett. They made a gingerbread boy/girl. They also made a gingerbread house. I had them taste different spices used in cooking/baking for the holidays. There were some interesting reactions to those tastes and smells.
I hope you enjoyed the Holiday Program. The students did a great job in their performance. It takes practice to get the timing down.
This week the students finished up their gifts to you. I hope you like them. The snowmen are made from the students’ handprints.
Today, Santa visited LTEC this morning. The students had their photo taken with him. Santa brought them a gift bag and a book. Your child brought them home today.
Your child is bringing home the LTEC newsletter today. Please review the inclement weather section. Also, if your number has changed since school has started, please let me know your new phone number. When school is cancelled early, it is our procedure to call each parent.
