Freshman Center High School PTA
Welcome to the Freshman Center PTSA information site.
The Blue Springs Freshman Center (BSFC) Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is a local PTSA unit located in the Three Trails Region of the Missouri Congress of Parents and Teachers (Missouri PTA), a branch of the National Congress of Parents and Teachers (National PTA). Our objectives align with those of the National PTA and Missouri PTA:
- To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community, and place of worship.
- To raise the standards of home life.
- To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth
- To bring into close relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently.
- To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and adults through social and spiritual education.
As your students prepare for the 2004-2005 school year, they will learn about the many clubs and activities available to increase their involvement in high school. But what opportunities are available for YOU to be involved in you high school student’s school and education?
Main Booster Club and individual team, club, or activity booster groups. Sports, activities, and clubs often have parent booster clubs. All parents are welcome to join and be involved. Check with your student’s coach or contact Sharon Cole, Activity Director at the Freshman Center for more information.
Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA): The PTSA at both Blue Springs High School and Blue Springs South High School work closely with administration to coordinate the Homecoming Bonfire, the National PTA Reflections (fine arts) contest, Senior Breakfast, and a host of other volunteer opportunities.
Keep in mind these groups do not compete with each other and often work toward a similar goal for our children. They are a great benefit to students, administrators, teachers, and parents. The networking of parents results in increased involvement and friendships with other parents.
