As a grad of the University of Missouri - Columbia, this is my seventh year of teaching here at Blue Springs High School.  I have found this place as a home away from home, since I live in Kansas.

A little bit aboud myself: I was married in June 2006 and I have two sons, one born in 2008 and another in 2011.  The best part about being a mom is the smiles I get from them day after day. Outside of school, I enjoy time with my family and friends, cooking, and exercise.

Teaching has become a great passion of mine and I really do enjoy being here everyday with the students.  They definitely keep me on my toes and make every day different.  The staff and students at this school make it enjoyable and this really is the best place to work!

Outside of teaching marketing classes, I am the co-advisor of DECA, an association of marketing students. I believe that if students get involved in something in school, they seem to do better in school, as well as finding more opportunities for themselves.  As I stay active with these extra-curriculars, I find myself loving my job even more.  If your student takes one of my marketing classes, I urge every one of them to get involved with DECA.  I have seen great things come out of this club.

I am available almost every morning at 7:00 am as well as most afternoons until 3:30.  Students are encouraged to make up any work missed from days out of school.  They are held responsible for asking and keeping up with their own work.

I encourage students and parents to email with any questions.  If for some reason you send an email and I do not reply to your email, please send a note with your student because our filter can be hard to get through at times.
