Special Needs Planning Center

I graduated in December 2005 with a B.S. in Education in the area of special education - severe developmentally delayed from the University Central Missouri. I recently completed a masters degree in special education at the University of Kansas in July 2010.

I began working for the Blue Springs School District in December of 2005.  I was a paraprofessional working with students with autism. Then in August of 2006 I began my teaching career at Liggett Trail Education Center.  The first two years I worked in a multidisabled classroom with students in grades 3 to 8.  This is my sixth year at LTEC and now work in the multidisabled transition classroom.  Here I have students 7th grade to 21 years of age.

September 5th - No School - Labor Day

October 6th - Special Person's Day - 9:30 to 11:00 (Book Fair will be open 9:30 to 4:00)

October 26th  - Parent Teacher Conferences 4:30 to 7:30

October 27th - Parent Teacher Conferences 8:00 to 8:00

October 31st - No School - Professional Development

November 9th & 10th - School Picture Day - I will let you know what day our class will go when time nears.

November 18th - No School - Professional Development

November 23rd - 25th - Thanksgiving Break  -  No School

December 15th - Holiday Open House - 1:45pm

December 22nd - January 2nd - Holiday Break

January 2nd - No School - Holiday Break

January 16th - No School - Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
