Lunch will never be the same at Blue Springs South High School. Students recently were treated to all-new food choices and a redesigned layout that included several new stations. The redesigned lunch room has a Crossroads Café theme and includes new deli and salsa bars, wraps, a grill section and new gourmet pizzas with braided crust and a variety of toppings. "We were really excited just to see how the kids reacted to all the new choices," said Blue Springs School District Food Services Director Bruce Wallen. "We knew the deli station was going to be a big favorite, kids love making their own sandwiches. The salsa bar is also something that will be big and the pizzas look great. I think the kids were excited about the new look and new choices." Wallen said a similar redesign is scheduled for Blue Springs High School’s lunch room later in the school year.
