Kindergarten Enrollment for 2012-2013
Monday, April 30, 2012:  Noon – 7 pm
Tuesday, May 1, 2012:  9 am – 4 pm

Parents are encouraged to enroll their child for kindergarten during the district’s annual spring window at the parent/guardian’s attendance area elementary school. Children are not required to accompany their parent during enrollment. Parents will need the following items to complete the enrollment process:

1) Child’s state issued birth certificate;

2) Child’s complete immunization records (Missouri statute requires children to be current with immunizations before entering school); and

3) Proof of residency (a current water, gas or electric bill with name and address of enrolling parent/guardian – no shut off or disconnect notices accepted).  Any unusual residency issues must be approved, prior to enrollment, through the district’s Department of Public Safety is located at 1501 NW Jefferson Street, Blue Springs, MO  64015, 816-224-1383.

Ready, Set, Off to Kindergarten
To better prepare students and parents for kindergarten, the Blue Springs School District hosts Ready, Set, Off to Kindergarten in mid March. This program covers topics such as the enrollment process, readiness activities, daily experiences, curriculum and instruction, health requirements, transportation services, food purchase options, and before and after school care.  Click here for more information regarding this opportunity.
